Product Name : NEBLIST 3%

Composition : Sodium Chloride 3 %

NEBLIST 3% is a hypertonic saline solution for inhalation therapy. Being presented in a sterile solution with 3% of Sodium Chloride, it mainly finds its application in respiratory care situations to help with clearing airway secretions, enhancing mucus clearance, and easing congestion in bronchitis, bronchiolitis, asthma, cystic fibrosis, and COPD.

Since this saline concentration induces the movement of water from the mucosa to the airway surface liquid, it helps in hydrating thick mucus, which can then be excited with ease. NEBLIST 3% is compatible with all types of standard nebulizers, hence offering an efficient yet comfortable respiratory treatment to patients.

This preparation is mostly used in hospitals, clinics, and home respiratory therapy centers, granting a safe and dependable relief for patients suffering from either chronic or acute airway obstruction.

How does it Work

  • Sodium Chloride 3% serves as a hypertonic solution since its osmolarity is higher than that of the normal body fluids.
  • It will then draw water into the airways by osmotic action and thin out secretions of thick mucus when inhaled through a nebuliser.
  • This thinning makes mucociliary clearance better, reducing congestion that allows expectoration.
  • The solution also acts to keep hydration at an optimal level on the airway epithelium and can decrease inflammation within respiratory pathways
  • The outcomes consist of improved breathing comfort, enhanced mucus clearance, and better lung function for chronic respiratory disease patients.
