Working of the Hydroxychloroquine Tablet
It is an antimalarial and immunomodulatory drug. The working of this drug is based on the following:
Antimalarial action: The malarial parasite is present inside the RBC, and is the main target of this medicine. Hydroxychloroquine interferes with the life cycle of the parasite and kills it.
Immunomodulatory Effect: In autoimmune diseases some sometimes the immune system attacks the body tissue, causing discomfort and restlessness. Hydroxychloroquine calms down this overactive response and reduces inflammation, pain, and tissue damage.
Uses of Hydroxychloroquine Tablets

Dosages and administration
Dosages:-
· For an adult, the dosages for autoimmune diseases are 200-400 mg daily. It can be taken in a single shot or in two shots,
· For malaria, the tablets are taken once a week, starting 1-2 weeks before traveling to a mosquito-prone area, and must be continued for 4 weeks
