TERBITOR is an antifungal dusting powder for skin infection relief, with Terbinafine 1% w/w. Terbinafine is a commonly used anti-fungal agent belonging to the allylamine family, which destroys fungus and removes the source of the fungus. Our dusting powder formulation has the added advantage of being able to absorb excess moisture to avoid fungus in places that tend to sweat and be irritated.

Mechanism of Action

Terbinafine acts by inhibiting the enzyme, squalene epoxidase, important for the biosynthesis of ergosterol, an important component of fungal cell membranes. The inhibition of squalene epoxidase leads to the accumulation of squalene within fungal cells, which is detrimental to them. With less ergosterol produced or incorporated into the cell membrane, fungal cells die, disrupting the fungal infection.

Dosages and Administration

The Terbitor is directly applied on the affected area. And must be used only as prescribed by the physician

Before the application of the Terbitor, clean the area properly and dry it
In areas that are prone to sweat, use the Terbitor to prevent fungal infection
This must be used only for external use. Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, or mucus membranes
